CCTA wins the International Partnering Institute’s highest honor for encouraging collaborative partnerships

Walnut Creek, CA – The Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA) has been named the 2017 International Partnering Institute Partnering Champion and awarded the International Partnering Institute’s (IPI) highest honor. The IPI Partnering Champion award recognizes organizations that foster collaborations and work to develop high-trust relationships and organizational cultures.

The award aims to highlight the work that CCTA has done in championing partnership with agencies such as the Metropolitan Transportation Commission/Bay Area Toll Authority and cities across the county from San Pablo to Oakley.

“Partnering is at the heart of the Contra Costa Transportation Authority’s approach to construction” states CCTA Executive Director Randell Iwasaki. “As we continue our partnerships with talented teams from other businesses and agencies, we hope to show that when you work together and support one common goal, the possibilities are truly endless. Thanks to these creative collaborations, both CCTA and our partners have been able to achieve far more than we ever would have individually.”

About The Contra Costa Transportation Authority

The Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA) is a public agency formed by Contra Costa voters in 1988 to manage the county’s transportation sales tax program and oversee countywide transportation planning efforts. CCTA is responsible for planning, funding and delivering critical transportation infrastructure projects and programs that connect our communities, foster a strong economy, increase sustainability, and safely and efficiently get people where they need to go. CCTA also serves as the county’s designated Congestion Management Agency, responsible for putting programs in place to keep traffic levels manageable.
