Strong Leadership

Leaders from Across the County
Our work is guided by an outstanding Board of Directors who come together from across Contra Costa County for the good of the county as a whole. Balancing local needs with a regional vision, their stewardship of transportation sales tax dollars continues to make our region stronger and more economically competitive.

Experts in Their Fields
CCTA boasts a talented staff of engineers, planners, and administrators that are the best in the business. Because of their hard work our organization is a known leader in project delivery, sound fiscal management, and outstanding community engagement. In fact, the California Transportation Foundation named CCTA Organization of the Year in 2016.

Working Hard to Get the Most from Every Tax Payer Dollar
We cap all of our administrative overhead to 1% of all tax revenues received. This means that your sales tax dollars are being spent on the critical infrastructure and services that we all depend on to get around and keep our economy moving. It is part of CCTA's commitment to be good stewards of the public's resources.

Improving Project Delivery
CCTA has proactively improved how we report on every project under construction across Contra Costa. Residents have access to quarterly reports that are easy to understand and clearly show each project's status. Because all of our projects are delivered in partnership with local cities and regional partners like the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) and Caltrans, these new, improved reports are a true collaboration.

Leveraging Technology
CCTA recently transitioned to cloud-based financial systems. Not only does this increase our efficiency, it reduces our overhead by eliminating the need to maintain servers on site. We are currently in the process of testing drones to facilitate project management.

CCTA may be a small agency, but we are dedicated to maximizing our impact through the smart use of technology.
