2009 Regional Transportation Plan
T-2035 UpdateThrough the Bay Area Partnership, the Authority is working with MTC to develop the 2009 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) Update (T-2035). This effort includes developing a list of projects for two key Plan "Elements:" First, the Financially Constrained Element, which includes all transportation projects and programs that are fully funded or expected to be fully funded during the RTP period using existing local, regional, state, and federal sources. Second, the Vision Element – priority improvement projects that are not fully funded. Authority staff is working with project proponents in Contra Costa to update MTC's project list database. This requires that we review the scope, cost, and schedule for all existing projects, and provide information on proposed new projects. Authority staff is also working with MTC staff to establish a consistent methodology and approach for performing cost/benefit analysis on RTP projects that exceed $50 million in cost. If you are interested in participating in the T-2035 development process, please vist the MTC website at www.mtc.ca.gov. For current status on the Authority's discussions with MTC, please check the Planning Committee and full Authority agenda packets located here. If you have concerns regarding specific projects, or wish to provide input to the RTP project database, please contact Jack Hall at 925.256.4743. |
