[Walnut Creek, CA] – The Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA) today announced that veteran construction executive Brandon Hays has joined the agency as its new Director of Construction.
Hays brings more than two decades of hands-on experience delivering complex transportation projects across California. His career spans over twelve years managing field operations for contractors and eight years advising public agencies as a consultant, giving him rare insight into every phase of project delivery.
“Brandon’s depth of field knowledge, combined with his understanding of agency requirements, positions him perfectly to help us deliver safer, efficient, and innovative projects for Contra Costa County,” said Tim Haile, CCTA Executive Director. “We’re excited to add him to our team.”
A licensed Professional Engineer and Contra Costa County resident, Hays said he is eager to bring his expertise close to home.
“I’ve spent my career improving mobility throughout the state, and I’m honored to apply that experience to the community where my family and I live,” Hays said. “I’m passionate about technology and innovation, and look forward to working with CCTA’s talented staff, our local partners, and the local community to keep Contra Costa moving.”
As Director, Construction, Hays will lead CCTA’s construction management group, oversee contractor performance, and guide delivery of capital projects ranging from highway interchange upgrades to multimodal trail connections.
